It’s not anger.
It’s not detachment.
It’s not even indifference.
Hatred is something else.
It’s a blade that turns inside you, silent and relentless.
It’s your heartbeat racing when you hear a name, a face, a memory.
It’s the lump stuck between your stomach and your throat, and it won’t go away no matter how hard you try.
It’s the soul that twists. It doesn’t explode, it doesn’t cry — it festers.
And before you get there, there’s disappointment.
The kind that crushes you when you trusted. When you believed. When you didn’t expect the blow — but it came anyway.
Then comes the anger. The one that burns hot, that makes you speak too much or disappear completely.
And if nothing gets resolved, if the pain just lingers without an outlet… that’s when hatred is born.
Hatred is a quiet poison.
It lives inside you, even if you hide it.
It doesn’t always scream — sometimes it disguises itself as calm, as elegant disdain, as cold superiority.
But inside, it’s digging.
And the paradox?
It hurts more the one who feels it than the one it’s aimed at.
Because it consumes you. It steals your light. It shuts you down from within.
I admire those who can smile in the face of injustice.
Those who fake indifference while a war rages inside.
Those who walk forward without carrying revenge on their shoulders.
I haven’t always been able to.
But I know one thing: hating them doesn’t change them.
It doesn’t rewind time. It doesn’t rewrite what happened.
Hating them doesn’t make it right.
So what now?
Now you try to walk anyway.
You hold the hatred in your hands. You look at it. You name it.
And then… you try to let it go. One piece at a time.
Not to forget. Not to forgive.
But so it doesn’t steal everything — even your future.
And then you cry.
Not just for what happened.
But for what could’ve been.
For all the love you gave that won’t ever come back.
But even that is part of the path.
Even tears serve a purpose.
Even the dark teaches something.
Because in the end, you realize:
“You never hate those who never touched your soul.”
And right there — exactly there — is where you slowly start taking your soul back.
I’m still here.
You’re still here.
And even if some nights feel endless, I know there’s a sunrise out there somewhere.
Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow.
But it will come.
And it will find us standing.
Just saying. CJJ

P4Y – Step 18: L’Odio
Io ammiro chi riesce a sorridere davanti all’ingiustizia.
Chi cammina senza portare vendetta addosso.
E ci troverà in piedi.
Cosi. Per dire. CJJ

Io invece lo so. E so anche cosa vuol dire rialzarsi.
