P4Y Step 22 – A deep breath… and then nothing will ever be the same

Posted on 8 Agosto 20258 Agosto 2025 By Francesco

At the beginning, it seems easy.
You set a date, a moment.
You think: “There’s still so much time… it will fly by.”

And indeed, in the first days, time runs like a raging river.
Each hour is a step forward, each dawn a promise.
You feel light, almost euphoric: the future awaits you, and you stride toward it with great steps.

But then, at a certain point, something changes.
The river slows down.
The days stop slipping away quickly and begin to pile up, one on top of the other, like wet sand.
It’s no longer you who follow time: it’s time that watches you, that measures you.

“Waiting is the longest of roads, but also the most instructive.”
So wrote Rousseau, and now you understand its meaning.
Because in waiting you discover parts of yourself you didn’t know existed.
Patience, fragility, fear.
The ability to stop, to breathe, to listen.

The closer the moment comes, the sharper every detail becomes.
The ticking of the clock is no longer background noise: it’s a metronome marking the beat of your heart.
The air seems denser, the light slower to enter through the windows.
Every daily gesture takes on a new, almost sacred value: the morning coffee, the glance out the window, the silence of the evening.

And then the moment arrives.
You recognize it instantly, because time ceases to exist.
Only the seconds remain, the instants.
Your heart beats hard, as if trying to anticipate the answer about to come.
It’s an invisible threshold: on one side, everything you’ve been until an instant ago; on the other, everything you will be immediately after.

Fear passes through you, but along with it comes hope.
In those suspended breaths, you realize that whatever the outcome, it will be definitive.
And right after… time will start running again.
If it’s joy, it will slip quickly between smiles and lightness.
If it’s disappointment, it will still escape, taking pieces of you away to make space for starting over.

Khalil Gibran wrote: “The sand that slips through your fingers is the same that measures the time you have left.”
And in this waiting, you’ve learned to hold not the sand… but the instant.

When the day arrives, you will not be the same.
And not only because of what will happen,
but also because of the silent, relentless work of waiting on your heart.
Because every wait is a journey, and every journey changes us before we even reach the destination.

08-08-25, 9:30 AM. It’s not just a date, but the exact point where time will stop counting the days… and start counting the heartbeats.

Just saying. CJJ

P4Y Step 22 – Un respiro profondo… e poi niente sarà più come prima

All’inizio sembra facile.

Cosi. Per dire. CJJ

My name is Francesco Boschi, originally from Italy and currently based in the United States. For over twenty years, I’ve worked as a manager and consultant across diverse sectors — from education and cultural institutions to the food industry — developing skills in operational management, strategic consulting, and complex problem-solving. In recent years, I’ve combined this experience with a strong passion for software development, creating custom tools designed to simplify workflows and meet real business needs.

Relocating to the U.S. marks the beginning of a new chapter: a personal and professional decision driven by the desire to be close to my son and to embrace new challenges in a different environment. Today, my goal is to turn my experience into meaningful solutions, blending strategic vision with technical expertise to help people and organizations work more effectively.

I enjoy moving between different worlds, adapting tools and approaches to people and contexts. I bring leadership, flexibility, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a strong problem-solving mindset — along with a deep curiosity to learn and grow. Above all, I believe in sharing: I’m always eager to offer my experience to support the growth of others.

Io scrivo come sento, punto.
Cuore. Cuore. Ma non per te. Sigh
