There are moments when love isn’t enough. Not because it’s weak, but because it arrives late—or arrives with hands full of good intentions that resemble too closely the ones that once caused harm.
I’ve seen a boy lower his gaze every time he made a mistake. Not out of shame, but out of habit. As if the world had taught him that error is a sentence, not a possibility.
And I’ve seen a father—who left everything behind, affections, work, future—trying to piece things back together. But he stumbled too. Because sometimes, in trying to help, we end up echoing the very things that wounded.
And that father, who gave up everything to be present, now walks through a land that speaks in unfamiliar tones, among faces he still struggles to read. He too feels uncertain, as if the meaning of things slips through his fingers. But he keeps searching, because love—when it’s real—doesn’t surrender to the stumble. It walks through it.
So maybe, all that’s left is to write. Not to scream. Not to give in. But to remember that even doubt can be a bridge.
He fears the step he hasn’t yet taken, because every step feels like guilt. And I, who left my own path to walk beside his, stumble in my own love.
In this land that doesn’t speak my language I feel like a stranger inside too, as if my thoughts had no translation.
Still, I keep searching for a way to say: you’re not broken, you’re wounded. And I’m here, not to correct, but to stay.
Just to say. CJJ

P4Y – Step 31 – Quando l’amore inciampa
Cosi. Per dire. CJJ
