P4Y Step 23 – When You Realize They’re Gone

Posted on 13 Agosto 202510 Agosto 2025 By Francesco

The People Who Leave Without Leaving

There are moments in life when I look back and realize how many people have crossed my path. Some have stayed, others have slowly faded away, like snow melting under the first sun. People with whom I shared years of life, confidences, laughter, and difficult moments; bonds that once seemed solid, unbreakable.

And yet, one day, almost by chance, I realized they were no longer there. Not because of an argument, not because of an announced goodbye… they simply weren’t there anymore. And that sudden awareness truly made me ask myself: why?

I began to wonder if it was my fault, theirs, or simply time—quietly—changing the distance without asking for permission. I asked myself if, perhaps unconsciously, I had wanted to lose them, or if I had simply allowed it to happen. And at the same time, I tried to understand what I might have done, without even realizing it, to contribute to that distance.

Maybe it’s a matter of character—mine or theirs. Maybe sometimes I’ve been “too much,” other times “not enough.” Maybe I demanded when I should have waited, or I stayed silent when I should have spoken… but spoken about what? Or maybe, more simply, certain journeys end suddenly because they’ve reached their last page, and no one needs to be blamed: life just decides that way. Period.

I don’t believe I’m incapable of giving affection or that I’m insensitive. I know what it means to be there, to share, to put my heart into what I build with someone. But I also know how demanding and stubborn I can be—or, as someone once said, so firm and determined in my choices that they’d tell me: “I’d give you for a day.” It’s always hard for me to accept that sometimes paths split and lives quietly reorganize themselves, without anyone truly deciding to walk away. But that’s how it is… or at least, that’s how it seems to be.

Sometimes, I’m left with what they’ve given me: a memory, a lesson, a fragment of life I still carry within me. Because true bonds, even when they change form, keep living inside us. They’re no longer a daily presence, but they’re part of the person I am today.
Other times, there’s nothing left at all. Not even a faded memory, not even a past smile. Only fog.

Perhaps that’s the real meaning: understanding that not everyone will walk by our side forever… but each one, in some way, leaves an imprint. And the value of that imprint is not measured by the time spent together, but by the intensity with which it changed us.

Just to say. CJJ

Cosi. Per dire. CJJ

My name is Francesco Boschi, originally from Italy and currently based in the United States. For over twenty years, I’ve worked as a manager and consultant across diverse sectors — from education and cultural institutions to the food industry — developing skills in operational management, strategic consulting, and complex problem-solving. In recent years, I’ve combined this experience with a strong passion for software development, creating custom tools designed to simplify workflows and meet real business needs.

Relocating to the U.S. marks the beginning of a new chapter: a personal and professional decision driven by the desire to be close to my son and to embrace new challenges in a different environment. Today, my goal is to turn my experience into meaningful solutions, blending strategic vision with technical expertise to help people and organizations work more effectively.

I enjoy moving between different worlds, adapting tools and approaches to people and contexts. I bring leadership, flexibility, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a strong problem-solving mindset — along with a deep curiosity to learn and grow. Above all, I believe in sharing: I’m always eager to offer my experience to support the growth of others.

There are days you never forget. Not because something big happens, but because — finally — you do something real.Today is one of those days. For too long, I’ve avoided that room.I knew it was there. Sealed shut.Behind that door, I locked away everything: the excuses, the “not now,” the “when…

P4Y – Step 16 – Silence as a Weapon of Destruction

Posted on 22 Luglio 202526 Luglio 2025

Some words build bridges, and some words make them collapse. But there’s a force even more subtle, more ambiguous, more devastating: silence. Silence can be meditation, respect, waiting. But it can also be poison. Those who wait for an answer that never comes live suspended, condemned to imagine everything that was left unsaid.Questions…
